Accommodation at Hindwell Farm Bed & Breakfast

 

Hindwell offers two large En-suite Double or Twin rooms and comprises elegant traditional yet contemporary décor. Both rooms boast a Super King size memory foam divan which can be separated to form a twin room with two large singles.  Fine quality linen and bath/hand towels are provided.  Each room provides refreshment facilities including tea/coffee and a selection of hot chocolates with a few little treats to make you feel welcome.

Both of our Double/Twin rooms have colour digital television, and en-suite shower and toilet facilities. A hair dryer and straighteners are also provided.  A comprehensive ‘local attractions’ and guest information file is present in every room to broaden your horizons during your stay.  All rooms have stunning views across the lake.

We have a third small double room, similarly overlooking the lake which can be used for families with older children or, alternatively, we offer this room as a reduced price double with shared facilities as it is smaller than our main guest rooms and would be suited to walkers or one night stays.  We also have a child’s bed & cot available for use. Please request these at the time of booking.

After your peaceful nights sleep, we welcome you down for breakfast in our large dining room looking out over the lake.  Cereals, fresh fruit salad and croissants will await your arrival along with a fresh pot of breakfast tea or filter coffee.  A full Welsh Farmhouse breakfast is then offered consisting of thick cured back bacon, locally produced sausages, vine tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans and a selection of brown/white toast.

 

 

 

All our guests have full access to our guest lounge with large inglenook fireplace and heavenly sofas.  Here you can sit and watch our 42 inch flat screen digital television with DVD player, read material from the bookcase or simply sit and enjoy the stunning view of the lake with the swans and their signets floating by…

The Summer House by the Lake…

All guests have access to the summer house situated down at the waters edge..  Here you will find nature at its best.  With a large comfortable indoor seating area and outdoor patio with seating you can take in the beautiful view whilst watching the swans and signets peacefully going about their business.  Hindwell lake offers an array of wildlife and the summer house gives you the ideal location to sit and absorb all that it has to offer…

‘SELF-CATERING HOLIDAY APARTMENT”

The Holiday Apartment is self catering accommodation for those that wish to stay for longer periods.  We have an open house policy in that the main guest entrance is always open and guests are therefore welcome to come and go as they please.  Each bedroom including the apartment has its own coded number lock to ensure the safety of your belongings whilst you are out.

The apartment has wonderful ambience and is very comfortable with exposed oak beams and skylights to allow the light in.  It currently has two double beds in the bedroom/living area but we are happy to tailor the beds to your needs.  Should you require one double and two singles then please state at the time of booking.  The living area comprises a flat screen digital television and two sofas.

It has its own large private bathroom with electric shower, bath and shaving facility.  Bath & hand towels are also provided.

The kitchen/dining area is also very spacious with exposed oak beams and skylights. It has all modern appliances including an electric oven, microwave, toaster, sandwich toaster, kettle and fridge freezer. We regret that there is no washing machine however we are able to offer you a clothes washing service for £5 per load should you require it.  All cutlery, crockery and utensils are provided.

To save you the hassle of bringing a weeks worth of food, we are also happy to do a basic grocery shop for you prior to your arrival.  This must be requested at the time of booking and your food requirements must be emailed a week in advance of your stay.  The groceries will then be purchased according to your instructions and the total cost of the shop will be added to your accommodation bill at the end of your stay.

The apartment is run on a self service £1 electric meter.  We will provide you with £10 of electricity use but once this is used up then guests must buy their own electricity. £10 usually lasts about 4/5 days with average usage.  Please note it will only take £1 coins.

The apartment is usually available on a weekly basis (from 5pm Saturday to 10 am the following Saturday).  Should you require a shorter stay then please ask and we will try to accommodate you as best we can.  We also use the bedroom/living area and bathroom as our family bed & breakfast room when the apartment is vacant.

Finally, just a little reminder to all our guests that we are a working Farm and occasionally there may be a few farm noises present during your stay!  We can only apologise if this causes any inconvenience.  Please, for your own safety, do not venture on to the farm at any time.  Children must also be supervised at all times and due care must be taken to ensure that they do not play in or near to the lake unsupervised.  Please also be aware that we have a few farm/pet dogs who may lovingly greet you at some point!  Whilst they are all quite lovely natured and used to people, it doesn’t hurt to remain vigilant around animals that you don’t know.
